Tom Loughead

Cincinnati Manager, Blended Learning Network

Tom Loughead is the Cincinnati Manager for Seton's Blended Learning Initiative at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School. Prior to joining Seton, Tom taught American government, economics, American history, and world history in Cincinnati public schools. During this time Tom also served as a content team leader for early career teachers in Teach for America’s Southwest Ohio region. Tom began his career in education as a Teach for America corps member at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School teaching social studies, English, and special education courses. Tom would later serve as a Mentor Teacher at Indianapolis Metropolitan, supporting teachers in the refinement of their instructional practice. As a Teach Plus Policy Fellow, Tom co-authored a report on the impact of teacher turnover in Indianapolis Public Schools. A Cincinnati native, Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the College of Wooster and a master’s degree in teaching from Marian University.
